Managing Director and sole owner Thilo Schuppler is a graduate chemist and NBC defence officer (ret.). He was previously Head of Development, later CTO, at OWR GmbH (Odenwaldwerke Rittersbach), a company known for CBRNe and decontamination systems, for over 12 years. In 2020, he set up the new CBRNe division in Buchen as site manager for Schmitz Fire & Rescue GmbH, headquartered in Farnstädt. By the end of 2020, 19 employees were already working on several international CBRNe projects and manufacturing measurement and decontamination vehicles. However, the Buchen site was closed in September 2021 due to the insolvency of Schmitz Fire & Rescue GmbH.

DST innovation GmbH, newly and independently founded in December 2021, was able to make an offer to almost all employees and fill the resulting gap in the market. »The real expertise lies in teamwork. Only together can a project be realised. Expertise, experience and motivation are crucial.« From now on, innovation and expertise will once again take centre stage.

The existing spectrum is being expanded in the direction of BOS hazard defence and explosive ordnance disposal.
